Introducing Almost Alternative

 Hi. There I am Bel, this is my blog and that is my face. I am apparently an alternative person, although I never quite know what that means. I think it means I am a cat and not a human.

I am classed as an alt model, I hang in alt places, I live an alt lifestyle and I am not really sure I am alternative at all. I get funny looks from uptight people, I am not reserved enough for everyone's tastes, I look a little different than most and I guess I live in a bit of a strange way. On the other hand I get told I'm not punk enough, not goth enough, I don't have enough tattoos, I don't listen to the right music, I don't buy my clothes in the right places and I'm a little too normal.

I am enough though, its cool if people don't think I fit in, I don't mind not having a scene to call my own. I have many wonderful people in my life from a variety of scenes. I get to hang out in awesome places and take some truly bizarre pictures. I love my life and all its weird wonder.

So this is a place for people to follow along if they like, I enjoy writing and like keeping track of things I have been up to and this seems like a perfect way to do that.

The Return of The Great Procrastinator Hi!!!!!!! Have you missed me?   Quarantine Selfie by Cute As Sin Artist Lets be honest you haven't. The world has been on fire for a while now and the last thing you have all worried about is my blog. Not to say I don't know people who will be pleased with the return of the great procrastinator. What have I been so busy with? I hear you all shout, other than university just surviving as a low immune systemed person in a plague. Hay Festival

Neil Gaiman And Stephen Fry I have never been to the Hay Festival before. I see adverts for it and hear about the appearances but it's three and a half hours from home so it took something special to get me there.  Neil Gaiman and Stephen Fry When I saw there would be an audience with Neil Gaiman and Stephen Fry I knew I had to go. I have never fawned over actors or models, give me an interesting mind any day, a writer, an artist, a musician, a scientist some one who thinks beautifully. Then I am jelly. I turn into a teenage fan girl, I have now seen/met several of my favourite minds but Neil Gaiman remained top of my wish list.  From the moment I found his work I was enchanted, I would never return to be the person I was before I read American Gods. A book recommended by a friend. I sat down to begin and the next thing I knew it was the end of the book. I didn't move for roughly 8 hours, I completely ignored my partner, I was lost in the world of Shadow....
